Just when you thought it was over, removing 733,400 acres for multiple use, here they come again. There are four federal agencies that can restrict your land use. They are the Forest Service (FS), Bureau of Land Management (BLM), National Park Service (NFS), and United States Fish & Wildlife Service (USFWS).

Nevadans were just inflicted with 733,400 acres of Forest Service Wilderness in 1989. Now the BLM wants to remove another 1.8 million acres from multiple use. It will not

stop there as the other agencies will want to lock up their share of Nevada also.

In addition to wilderness, these four agencies have spent $4.66 bilĀlion to acquire over five million acres of private land since 1965. Presently more than 91 million acres is designated as wilderness. Another way of saying it is: 1 out of every 8 acres the U.S. Government owns is designated as wilderness. A better way of saying it is "We don't need any more wilderness".
